The ENCOUNTER OF MUNICIPALITIES is an event that is anually held at the city of Rosario;  event that is attended by mayors, civil servants, legislators of every Government level, and bussinesspeople of every corner of Argentina, MERCOSUR, and other countries.
They all gather to exchange ideas and information regarding to the supply of public services to the community.

Because this is the ONLY forum of authentic federal and regional reach of Argentina; a fact that allows the competitive positioning of your enterprise as a potential supplier of goods and services that can satisfy the various needs of all those municipalities that participate of the Encounter.

In 1996, the 4th Encounter was honored with the presence of numerous civil servants, legislators and tecnicians coming not only from every corner of Argentina, but also with several foreign participants; totalling more than 600 visitors. As this graph clearly shows, the number of visitors to each encounter has been constantly growing since 1993, when the first encounter was held.

The 1^st Expo Municipios, held together with the 4^th Municipalities Encounter during June 1997, was also a complete success; thanks to the participation of more than 50 fims interested in providing goods and services to satisfy municipalities actual and potential needs.

The 5^th National Municipalities Encounter and 2^nd Expo Municipios will be held between June 3^rd and June 5^th, 1998 in the "Patio de la Madera" Convention Center of the city of Rosario, Argentina.

This double event will keep the federal and international character that marked the former Encounters; trying to enhance the efficiency of municipalities-level community services and actively promoting a bigger and better commitment of private activity into the public services arena.

The issues to be covered by the participating panelists and to be discussed among the attendants include (but are not limited to) the following: Public Health; Education; Utilities (like power, water and natural gas) coverage; Restoring and upkeeping of public spaces and city landmarks; Urban security; Roadworks; Garbage collection and residues treatment and disposal; Municipal services; City procurement; Municipal management; Transport; Urbanization; Culture and Entertainment.
