The province of "Chubut",  situated in Patagonia's region ,  limits to the north with the province of Rio Negro; to the east with the atlantic waters of the Argentinian Sea; to the south with the province of Santa Cruz,  and to the west with Republic of Chile. This province,  with 224.686 kilometers square ( 6 % of the total national ),  the third in surface of the country,  presents extensive depopulated territories. The population and the economic activities concentrate principally in the coastal zone,  where assent two of the vertexs of the triangle of development : Comodoro Rivadavia,  the principal urban center,  and the group compound by the cities of Trelew,  Puerto Madryn and Rawson. The third of them was localized in the ridge area ( cities of Esquel and Trevelín). This spatial configuration,  originated by the distribution of the natural resources,  was consolidated throught the time because of a large works of infrastructure ( as dikes and ports ) and fundamentally by the communications. The climate in Chubut presents differentiated ambiances. The region of Andes Patagónicos was characterized by the arrival of the humid masses of the Pacific that make possible the availability of abundant water and the fertility of the ground of some valleys. However,  toward the orient of the province,  scarce highness of the hills does not reaches to produce precipitations. The characteristics of aridity go up notablely. The total annual of rains falls in the zone of Esquel ridge west is about,  500 milimiters,  and the temperature average is of 8º C. In the coastal zone,  the precipitations hardly reach 180 milimiters,  approximately,  and the temperature average is of 12, 8° C.
