LEO FILLOY
Leo Filloy was born in 1960 in Córdoba,
Argentina. He was trained on the piano from early age. He formed bands
of Rock and Jazz fusion. Later, he studied a degree in musical composition
at the National University in Córdoba. At that time he gained experience
in film scoring and recording soundtracks for some short films.
In 1989, he travelled to Spain,
where he is now based, working since then on arrangements in numerous recordings
and as a keyboardist performing in several bands. In 1992 he finished composing
the music for "NOCHE AMBAR" on the label Vaderecords, released this year.
His music is inspired by exotic
images. "Music, opens the doors to different perceptions of time and reality
and in this way gives us the possibility of describing imaginary landscapes"
In 1994 he produced "HORIZONTE IMAGINARIO" for the same label Vaderecords.
"Using African rhythms and epic textures, mixing modern technology and
acoustic instruments, he create very suggestive atmospheres".
In 1995 he recorded "REUNIÓN",
a new album with the participation of other important musicians for the
label Big Bang. This album was considered as being one of the ten best
CDs of the year, by Voice Magazine (Barcelona). Leo Filloy defines his
own identity with subtlety and considers his attitude to music as approaching
the evolution of the music of the future. Now, working on a new project
based on native rhythms of the world, featured with electronic sounds.
