The Flute courses are generally given by the owner of the place, but occasionally, also by invited teachers from Argentina and from foreign countries. Most of the courses are accomplished during the Argentine summer (January and February).

Each course carries the title "Meeting with the Music and the Nature", being referred to the idea that the participants not only learn to express themselves through the music, but also to live in the environment of the nature, bathing in the small rivers and hiking in the hills. During each course, for example, one entire morning is devoted to climb to an old place (the "Puesto") near the top of the mountain to meet an old charming couple who lives there alone with their animals.

The participants also have to collaborate in the kitchen, preparing the meals, washing the dishes, etc since there is no staff for that in Nueva Vermland. The Nilssons help in the organization of the community work and are responsible of the transportation in truck to the village nearby.

The pupils are distributed in 3 houses, in bedrooms with 4 to 6 people. There are beds with mattresses, pillows and blankets, but each participant has to bring their own sheets, towels and articles for personal hygiene. Furthermore one should arrive to the place with a flashlight, since only the principal house has electrical light (powered by solar energy).

The classes are given during the morning and the afternoon, according to the plan of each day, leaving always time after lunch for the traditional "siesta", great opportunity to refresh in the natural swimming pool, made in the nearby creek.

Each flute pupil receives also opportunities to rehearse with a pianist, a fellow student enrolled in the course or a teacher. Usually every night, all the group gathers in the main hall to perform and listen to each other. The courses end with a very special concert to which the inhabitants of the zone are invited and a traditional argentine barbecue for the farewell.
