The place
Nueva Vermland is located in the hills of Córdoba , Argentina, at the height of 1,300 meters above the sea level, nearby the Champaquí Mountain. The nearest village, Villa de las Rosas, is 8 km away. There are three houses spread over the landscape with a total capacity to harbor about 35 people.

The region is extremely wild, and the idea of the founder, Lars Nilsson, is to contaminate the place of human influence the less possible in order to be able to maintain the existing ecological balance. There is a lot of natural vegetation and a pair of creeks that cross the field with their crystalline water, birds and other wild animals complete this scenery.

There are a lot of different flowers and medicinal plants that grow among the trees. The extreme beauty is then completed with the peace of cows, horses and even some llamas grazing in the meadows. There are also corn plantations and fruit-bearing trees, as fig-trees, walnuts, peach-trees, etc. and in the nearness, a pine forest.

Two of the houses have been previously humble housings for the peasants of the place and still lack the urban comfort. Therefore, there is no electrical light, and to heat the water, it is necessary to make fire. The principal house, built in 1991 with natural stone of the place, keeps also a primitive style, though for its lighting it has been installed a solar energy system. In this house is located the principal salon, where are accomplished musical meetings.

Another place that people like is the "terraza", where you can enjoy the beautiful view to the horizon with the mountains silhouette from neighboring provinces. The sunset is usually wonderful, and during the night you can see clearly the stars, of the southern hemisphere, through the transparent air.
