IICANA (Instituto de Intercambio Cultural Argentina Norteamericano), founded in 1931, is a non-profit Argentine association of exclusively cultural aims whose purpose is to promote the mutual understanding of Argentina and the United States of America. The following are some of the means employed to this end: a public library with books in Spanish and English; lectures by intellectuals of both nations; book and art exhibits; scholarships; and the teaching of the English and Spanish languages.
