We often get inquiries about the possibility of someone coming from the United States or elsewhere to teach at IICANA. While we are certainly open to such possibilities, there are certain things you should know.

The economic reality in Argentina is a hard one at present. The cost of living is almost twice that of the United States, yet the average person in Argentina earns less than half of what his North American counterpart earns. If you want to come to Argentina to make money, you had better think again. If you want to come to Argentina to gain experience, to learn Spanish, to have the opportunity to live in another country, or some similar reason, this could be the place for you.

You should also keep in mind the difference in seasons in Argentina and the United States. Our school year runs from March until November or December. We can use people for shorter periods of time, but the ideal situation is for a person to commit for the entire school year. Still interested? Write us!
